Wetzels, Martin

Full Professor, Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management

Martin Wetzels is a Full Professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Research at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics. His work has been published in many international journals and he has contributed to more than 80 papers.

Wetzels both teaches and researches in the field of marketing and supply chain management, which are in his opinion interconnected disciplines. He primarily analyses how research can lead to an improvement in decisions taken by marketing managers and supply chain managers. His concern here is not only with physical products, but also with the increasingly dominant role of the service sector in both the marketing and supply chain arena.

Other research interests are customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction, customer value, services marketing, business-to-business marketing, (online) marketing research, cross-functional cooperation, e-commerce, new product development, technology infusion in services, and relationship marketing.
